Kirra Beach at Sunset
After days of rain, the sun finally managed to peek through the clouds later this afternoon, bestowing upon us a beautiful sunset which caused great excitement withing the community.
Choosing Kirra Point Lookout as the best vantage point, not only to see the sunset, but also the much talked about waves, I came across a number of other people toting cameras and even some with tripods. (Fellow blippers perhaps?)
After a dull week, the golden colours of the sunset were a site for sore eyes, and the surfers were out in full force also, after having donned their wetsuits in the cold weather.
My son Adam and I took a number of photos of Kirra Beach, whilst Adam gave me a running commentary of the perfection of each breaking wave.
When I arrived home, laden with my beach photos, my husband chimed in to emphasise Adam's delight at the waves, by telling me that it would probably have been years (years??!) since Kirra Beach has enjoyed such brilliant surfing conditions.
I must admit, the beach this afternoon was indeed incredible. :)
