Fairfield
Wild's back. After being trapped in my bathroom for a week fitting a new bathroom suite with no time to blip it was great to have a day out in the English Lake District with the family. We climbed a small fell, Loughrigg, to enjoy the last of the Autumn tints. Many years ago a wise old hillwalker friend of mine told me the best views of high mountains aren't always from the top. How right he was the summit of Loughrigg is surrounded by loftier peaks the closest being Fairfield at 800 plus metres. The sunlight was spot lighting the hills all day and this is a random pick of 100+ taken.
Goodnight catch up with you tomorrow.
