Mercat del Born

What on earth was I thinking, getting up at 02:40 this morning to take a very early flight from Edinburgh (see extra).  My answer came upon landing in Barcelona about 09:30 in beautiful sun.  This is my first trip to Barcelona and I am going to love the city I know.  The first day has been spent walking and eating.  This picture shows the Born Cultural Centre which is an old market.  It has a number of cultural exhibits about the history of Catalonia as well as some archaeological excavations from the 17th century.  Cameraman got some water action

An early night is going to be called for then we will be making the most of what Barcelona has to offer over the next few days
