Opera - - on tap!

Were it not for an invitation from our friend Rhonda (tickling the keys, above) we never would have known about Opera on Tap, or OOT. 

Formed in 2005, this group makes it their mission to take classical music (opera in particular) to venues that don't typically serve up this style of music such as bars and clubs like the Royal Room, in Seattle where we enjoyed an evening of fresh, energetic cabaret vocals with a decisively operatic flair. This is community outreach at its finest! Their work is inspiring and has sparked the beginnings of a few ideas of my own.....
