Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

This is almost the same as yesterday's capture, but different. The gardens here are so lovely, but the ocean is so spectacular -- deciding which to focus on is difficult, so yesterday I focused on the waves; this afternoon I could not ignore the flowers, the pool, with the view of the ocean sort of washed some. This is the view from our room.

We had a love morning with coffee on the coast -- sitting at the outdoor restaurant at Hotel Laguna enjoying breakfast. Then we walked to the Laguna Friends of the Library store and scored a few CDs for Mr. Fun and some previously owned magazines for me. Then we went driving into the hills lined with mansions and an occasional magnificent view of the coast way below us and we ooohed and aaahed.

Then we came back into Laguna Village to a little thrift store to check-out their treasures. Mr. Fun found another CD or two. We got back to the car and realized we were having car problems. Ugh!

So we phoned Auto Club to have our car towed to a local fix-it place and called a car rental agency. What an instant change of mood to our day. Mostly we're both just laughing about it. We had driven my car to the beach and left Mr. Fun's at home because his car has lately behaved like it needs a tune-up. His car is 6-years newer than mine, but they are both antiques (sort of). I really like my car -- she gets me to the college and back. I like having no car payment; low insurance rates, and low registration fee. So we'll see what tomorrow brings

Right now, we're facing the horizon, the ocean going dark, and the last illumination in the sky as it turns to pink, then shades of gray, and soon it will be black.

Good night from Laguna Beach.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
