Clare discovered an amazing series of gigs that have been going weekly for almost four years at the beautiful Union Chapel in Islington. You pays your small discretionary donation at the door and gets two hours of amazing music.
Thus week it was a fabulous choir from Camden and a band called Haiku Salut, three women playing a wide variety of instruments and sounding like a mixture of Beirut, Sufjan Stephens and Aphex Twin (a bit). But not. They were great and we bought the cd. A good role model for Alice too.
