Dereliction of a Skill

There was a time we loved to write a letter or, more likely, receive one. The anticipation, the wonder, the joy and the promise. I came across this derelict post box, door long gone and wondered who had met by accident or by choice at this corner.
E-Mail, twitter, texting et al have all helped destroy the art of writing a letter, of our ability to spell and our calligraphy skills are becoming more wanting by the day.....just saying
