Battery
Today we managed to escape to Cramond again. This time, Poseidon was obviously in a much better mood - the tide was low and we were able to hop across the walkway to Cramond Island without any hassle. I didn't know too much about the place beforehand, but on seeing a disused military pillbox looking over an eerily misty Firth of Forth I was in my nerdy element.
This (unedited) shot looks back over the walkway we accessed the island from. Although the fortification was ultimately (and fortunately) never used, you can imagine the nerves of young men and women waiting here for the moment enemy ships came into view along the horizon.
