Friends of Brownhill Creek BBQ

Yesterday we attended a Friends of the Brownhill Creek BBQ to celebrate a victory in the preservation of this wonderful nature area.

There is now no chance of the proposed dam option proceeding in upper Brownhill Creek. This would have destroyed the local environment and also a number of properties.

Councils and community groups can now join together to seek funding and make sure that all stakeholders and our shared environment and heritage benefit from the implementation of a Brown Hill Keswick Creek Stormwater Management Plan.

This is a historic agreement to preserve the Creek and its environs, and the Brownhill Creek Association thanked all concerned at this BBQ for working so hard over many years to achieve this common sense outcome.
