Meh

Fascinating fact: Apparently I can save £52 a year by replacing all the bulbs in my house with LED ones. Environmentally friendly and thrifty.
 
I've been getting pretty angry about the government over the last couple of days. The huge cuts to DEFRA's budget is bad news for the environment. What's the point in environmental regulations if we can't afford to enforce them? 
 
This is at the same time as cutting renewable subsidies that were designed to give a market chance to mature and be self sustaining before they've got to that point. Instead they're increasing subsidies for the fossil fuel industry. 
 

It's just depressing that there seems to be an insidious creep towards gutting this country across the board for the benefit of a quick buck. I'm worried there's not going to be anything left for future generations.
