Enveloped by onions

Sweet onion cultivation is anything but sweet. You've got to grab a hand hoe, get down on the ground, snake your way in between the delicate onion greens and scrape away the weeds. Just don't nick the developing bulb. Or the drip irrigation line. And don't scrape away too much dirt and leave the bulb exposed. And make sure you get all those weeds, because they'll be monsters in three days if you miss them. And if you lose your fellow farm volunteers in the allium sea, stay where you are and signal for help. Someone will find you eventually.
