Peace
It was early morning as I wandered round my dear mother-in-laws garden, a small garden filled with her favourite flowers. There was dew glistening in the sun as fragrance hung in the still air.
I remembered the first time we met, I was young and nervous after a long drive down from Hamilton to Masterton with her eldest son by my side but I needn't have worried both S and B welcomed me as one of their own. Their family was just like my own, down to earth, tins filled with homemade baking, everyone pitching in to help, many laughs were had, we had so much fun.
It's today we have all gathered by my mother-in-laws side to say our final good-byes to one so kind and loving, who had an amazing sense of humour, gifted with her talent in crafts, such a lovely lady who has had to endure so much through her life, S passed away peacefully.
A day of great sadness.
