Spotted Moray Eel

I saw this Eel reaching out of his cave....all the way out!!!! You have never seen anyone swim backwards faster than I did!!! Then I relaxed and watched as he backed up too! Wow, was I glad he didn't keep coming toward me. He was about 3 feet long and as thick as my hubby's fist. Quite scary....but probably not a problem if no one provokes him.....I WAS NOT about to do anything to provoke him. Also saw a Tiger Snake Moray Eel swimming on the bottom (extra photo); it was down aways (I was happy about that) so the photo is not very clear. He was about 2 feet long!! 

Wonderful time snorkeling again....I would stay in the water all day if I wasn't afraid of getting sunburned. I spray with sun block....but it must wear off, right?  Also, the rest of the family is done long before I get out of the water; they are patiently waiting on the beach for me.
