Tea and games..
I decided to have a tea party for Mr S's birthday this weekend. I think we miss having childrens birthday tea parties now that they have fledged and usually party elsewhere. He asked for cake so our lovely friends came to eat it to save us having too much! We also played the hilarious game you see on the table called Pucket. We originally saw it being played in France last year and now have our own set. The idea of the game is to ping the discs from one side to the other through a small gap in the wall. Basically it is a race to clear your side.. the shrieking gets louder as the game goes on and the laughter does nothing but hinder the progress... great game.. and totally exhausting!
On another note it has been so windy over the last 24 hours that the lawn finally dried out enough so we managed to cut the grass which has been like a hay field for weeks!! Looks lovely but I am sure it will keep on growing!!
