About 30,000 people took to their saddles for 95km, a large percentage of whom were raising money for charity but also just proving to themselves that they could do it.

At 35 degrees it was a big ask for some with the support vehicles fairly well laden with bikes and people who had thrown in the towel.

This chap caught our attention; haven't seen a contraption like this before. A kind of stepper on wheels. A bit more comfortable on the rear end but it sure looked like hard work.
