A little visitor

Another damp and dreary day but we used the time wisely. 10yo and I cleared out and rearranged his cupboards, ready for the annual influx of toys/games/books. If I had a pound for every "I forgot I had that!" I'd be very happy. Discovering forgotten toys is fabulous and immediately interrupts any sorting for a quick play, which is just fine on a day like today. It was a great opportunity to liberate items no longer wanted, which will serve as good donations for the school Christmas Fair for other children to enjoy.

Another interruption was the arrival of this little visitor. A young wild rabbit, first seen in the rear garden (which backs immediately on to open farmland) he quickly ventured round to the front and planted himself in the shrubbery where I managed to capture this shot from the house (apologies for the quality..he was only diddy!). It's a good job he was sheltered, as a rather vocal magpie turned up and started trying to attack him! He made a quick getaway though into the neighbour's garden. We saw him later returning to the relative safety of the fields, thank goodness.
