A burst of colour

I saw the photo that "Inkface" took on 5th November and was really taken with it. As I was doing a bonfire night project for painting group I asked her if I could use her photo and she very kindly said yes. Artists should always obtain the photographers permission before using their work although this is not always easy.

Hope I've done it justice Inkface.

It was done in acrylics whereas I usually use watercolours, but I wanted the black background and needed the lighter colours to stand out on it. Acrylics are water based paints but can be used thinly or thickly, I have only used them a couple of times before.
