Water
Today we had a horrendous storm which dropped a month's worth of rain on the north east in less than 3 hours. Absolutely ridiculous! I was inside clearing out my room when it went so dark we had to put lights on in the house. The rain was hammering down and the street looked like a river within 10 minutes. It was unbelievable. The thunder was so loud as well, and I'm not much of a fan of storms! We had to take Robyn to work and a lot of the roads were flooded and it was horrible to drive through. We then by passed the village again to see how it was and I hopped out to take a few photos (I stood well away!) before going to the yard. We could still hear the thunder and saw some lightning. While I was filling hay nets outside the barn, I was just praying no lightning would hit me! Then it all settled down and we got lovely sunshine...crazy!
The garden centre flooded in several areas so it will be a busy day tomorrow doing flood damage etc. It always seems to rain like this when my grandma and grandad go on holiday...they went away in 2008 and the village (and their house) flooded so we had to deal with it before they came home and today it was the same! My grandma was on the phone panicking about everything, bless, but it was fine.
