A mouse's eye view of a cat
Today started very warm and humid, before a brief period of light rain. Some two hours after this it was wall-to-wall blue sky, sunshine and hot. Again I had little inclination to do much and just sat about in the shade. Later in the day, while sitting on the veranda, I was watching our cats at play and took this picture of Dougal. Not long after the picture, Dougal turned his head, froze on the spot and then dashed a couple of yards into the flower border. Two seconds later, he was out with an already dead mouse between his jaws; his third today. When I looked at the pictures that I had taken, this one jumped out at me, as being the last thing the mouse had seen and I thought it might make a different, but interesting blip.
