Oak at Spring Lake

A leisurely walk around Spring Lake this morning seemed in order. 

The wall to wall news coverage from Paris seems intrusive. I hope the French people know how many people around the world stand in solidarity with them in the aftermath of yesterday's senseless moronic carnage. I think John Kerry may have summed it up as well as anybody when he said that if the Islamic State thought this would frighten people into whatever it is they want, it had the opposite effect. 

When I think that civilization is falling apart, I think of how many caring, compassionate people there are in the world. My thoughts with the French people as they try to make sense of the senselessness, and  I pray that a way can be found to end it.
