Bonne nuit Paris

Woke up to such terrible news and news reports have been the soundtrack to our day today. We wanted to find out more, we couldn't switch off from it. We wanted to make sense of it, to try and understand what possible reasons someone could have for causing such anguish and pain.

Sadly there are no answers, only more questions. As is the way with terrorist acts.

Paris is so close to my heart for so many reasons. It is without doubt the most wonderful city on earth. There is something quite magical about it.

I have this little statue in my bedside drawer as a reminder of my hen weekend there. I bought it in a gift shop near Sacre Coeur. It's by my bed tonight. Bonne nuit Paris, my thoughts are with you.
