pour les Parisiens et l'humanité

"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower." - Albert Camus

On this day when all are stunned in grief and outrage at this latest crime of hate against humanity, I am bereft of adequate words so leave it to three French philosophers and Gabriel Fauré.

"No matter what cause one defends, it will suffer permanent disgrace if one resorts to blind attacks on crowds of innocent people." - Albert Camus

Total war is no longer war waged by all members of one national community against all those of another. It is total... because it may well involve the whole world. - Jean-Paul Sartre

"Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities" - Voltaire

'In paradisum
"May the angels lead you into paradise; ... may you have eternal rest."
- Fauré  (Requiem in D minor)
