Storm front (Day 191)

My beautiful wife took the dogs out in blustery winds this morning as I trundled to Stromness to look at a hot water cylinder that wasn't heating the water. It does always help if the electrical supply to the immersion heater is switched on.... *sigh*
Back home and I set to on making a hummingbird cake (this being hummingbird season in Orkney) and whilst it was in the oven, I zoomed about tidying up and cleaning.
After lunch HV and I headed to Birsay where we were guaranteed some big waves, and where the sky looked a bit lighter. We got the best of the day, and although it was difficult to hold onto the camera, it was great to be able to shot some pics of the waves.
Looking forward to an evening of good food and wine with Mrs P.
