In the Bright Sunshine
7.7C starting bright then clouding over with bright periods. Moderate breeze.
The first day of a week off work for Apothecary7 ... hooray !
Apothecary7, Maeve the Deerhound and I went through to Arbroath before 9am and had a walk round the harbour. The lock gate to the inner harbour was closed so we could walk round in a loop. The sun was out and the harbour and the boats were looking good in the bright sunshine although it was cold in the breeze. Hat and gloves weather. We walked round to the boatyard where there were two boats on the slipway. Marigold, the boat I have been looking for on the slipway for a few weeks, is back in the water in the inner harbour. Her hull sound and painted, the next steps of restoration might take place with her afloat.
Before lunch Apothecary7 and I took Maeve for a walk. We went up to the church and carried on out the road towards Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road. The track was drier today. We came back along the cycle path, walking into the breeze all the way along. Then we carried on round in a loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home.
After lunch there was F1 free practise from Brazil on telly, and qualifying coverage starts at 4pm.
