TEARS
After all the angst, hand-wringing and gnashing of teeth yesterday, when people were getting quite het up about the Blip website being down, the news from Paris last night put things into perspective for me.
Thinking about and praying for all those injured and killed, and those families for whom yesterday and today and the rest of their lives will never be the same - now that’s something to get worked up about!
Today it has been raining non-stop - and this photograph sums it up - the rain looks like tear drops - I’m sure there will be many tears shed today, not only in Paris, but all over the world.
“There is a sacredness
in tears.
They are not the mark
of weakness,
but of power.
They speak
more eloquently than
ten thousand tongues.
They are the messengers
of overwhelming grief,
of deep contrition,
and of
unspeakable love.”
Washington Irving
1783-1859
