Yes, I shall go to the ........

ball this evening.  Early too, begins at 6.45 and finishes at 1 a.m.  That's a long evening to be standing around in these shoes ;)  No new dress but new shoes.  I found my usual evening shoes crippled me a few weeks ago when I wore them out.  They have higher heels and a thin platform sole and by the end of the evening I could hardly totter back to the car so these were a must in my view.
