Little mice all in a row...

Dear Diary,

I ordered my Thanksgiving bird at a wonderful farm nearby.  These little stuffed mice really drew my eye.  I think I might have to get a few of these for Christmas.  I think they are adorable.

But I am having a hard time thinking about the pleasures of Thanksgiving and Christmas with the horrible news from Paris last night.  Another act of despicable terrorism has rocked that city.  My heart breaks for the families of the victims.  This seems to me such a senseless act yet in the depraved minds of those who carried it out it makes perfect sense.

What makes this even more horrific, if that is possible, is that it is becoming so frequent.  We go about our daily lives and then we are shaken to the core by another cowardly example of the lengths some people will go to force their distorted, perverted views on the world.  Somehow we have to go on for if we fall into despondency and hopelessness then they have truly won.
