Breathe In And Out...

Sneaking up on bumblebees again!

Following from my blip of a buff-tailed bumblebee 3 days ago, which had a lot of hits, I managed to capture this shot of another female worker bee of the same species this evening once the weather finally improved. The bees were busy gathering nectar from our large Buddleia globosa bush. I noticed that the bees were all feeding on the sides and bottoms of these balls of flowers and if you look closely at this one, you can see that the flowers on top are all wet from a day of rain. This is the third close-up of an insect that I've blipped this week. It is a new adventure for me; I haven't attempted this kind of photography before and I'm really quite excited by the results and the feedback from fellow blippers! It is also making me brush up on my (admittedly poor) insect identification skills!
