See last nights blip - It will make sense. Honest!
I hope this isn't getting boring - am sure you'll son say when you've had enough sky, but I couldn't resist this one tonight.
Most of the day had been cloudy but very humid until lunch-time. You may have heard that we've had a few little storms in the midlands today which have been tracking north-eastwards this afternoon.
Just after one o'clock my son phoned in somewhat of a panic that there are hail-stones the size of golf-balls (his panic stems from the fact he was still asleep in bed I suspect!). We live on a road that has a distinct slope. Water was also cascading down the road 2 to 3 inches deep. Not quite sure what he expected me to do about it lol. I can part the water, but I need to be there....
Anyway, this was taken on the Fosse Way east of Coventry looking towards Rugby. I've taken care not to include the Rugby Cement works (but that will be a future blip I'm sure).
Similar treatment to last nights blip - 0.9 ND soft grad and polarizer. Then a touch of sharpening and adjusting levels, then into Silver Efex Pro with increase on Contrast, reduce soft contrast and increase structure, blue and cyan channels reduced to zero to blacken the blue sky. A small amount of vignette. Simples...
Am taxi all over north warwickshire this evening. Just got back from the first run, cooked dinner for Jamie and me and then back out around eleven to do pickups from the school prom. No rest....
