Aer Lingus flies to the moon

This was a bit of a fluke really. I started taking pictures of the moon and the Union flag above Windsor Castle's Round Tower and suddenly this aircraft came into view and headed towards the moon ! I managed to trigger the shutter at the right moment and here is the result. I regret that I was unable to get a similar shot of a BA aircraft later on, despite trying for half an hour. But it was just too much of a challenge, with a constantly moving moon in relation to the flag and the flight path and the different tracks aircraft were following. This is the best with a BA aircraft.

Such a difference a day makes with the weather when compared to last night !
