Birsay panorama

A storm called Abigail was forecast so I went up to Birsay for the waves. She wasn't as fierce as expected but I still really liked being out there. I got to the shore at about 8.oo am and watched the sky turn from grey to saffron as the sun rose. The wind was from the south-west so it meant I could shelter in the lea of the cliff, and all the spray went the other way too instead of over my camera lenses as it usually does.
