More Vintage Haberdashery

Another good day to stay home, as the rain, sleet and even snow vied for attention with strong wind and a pallid blue sky.

Rummaging for material in a bag which contained items from the time we cleared my in-laws' house, I came across this gadget, for cutting even lengths of wool in preparation for making a hooked rug. Made of Bakelite, it even has instructions in the moulding beneath (see extra photos). However, it is of no use as the cutting blade is missing and I doubt I could obtain a replacement.
