Sherlly, the saviour

Friday and 13th, what great experience would you expect?

Circulated the tandem language meeting message through FB and emailing but neither seemed to work effectively. FB message only reached 10 (as compared to previous 100+ hits); emails only reached after the event (was told by one of the members before I went home).

But despite the worse weather condition and Black Friday superstition, Sherlly became the saviour as she showed up in the end because she had to go to another appointment. 

She started her first-year courses two weeks later than others but now she's been in full gear - she attended my Chinese taster session and just got a Chinese partner through my tandem programme. She's also looking for Spanish, French, and German partners - really need to give her a star, wouldn't you?!

Finally, the posters were collected and distributed through the post room, which was a great help. It was not fun to take a campus tour against rain and wind.
