He probably did as a child.  Dorset's greatest novelist, Thomas Hardy, is looking rather dejected sitting on the side of the road near the Top o' Town roundabout in Dorchester surrounded by street furniture including new zebra crossing globes.

A visit to the dentist as always but I enjoyed the walk through the town afterwards.  It was much colder but the sun shone most of the time.
