In Memorium
Today in Green Park, London, The Queen unveiled the RAF Bomber Command Memorial, some 67 years after 55,000 airmen gave their lives during the Second World War.
My Uncle Bo was amongst those who gave their lives so bravely. He was shot down over France on his first mission.
I was not able to go to the ceremony today, so this little poppy, caught in the eveing sunlight a few minutes ago, represents his life.
