Morning Delivery

Re-stocking pizza, garlic bread and lasagne ;-) After shutting up the shop and handing in the keys to the Wigtown Festival Office we had a look round some of the other shops - tea and a scone in the Reading Lasses, down to the old churchyard to look at the Covenanter graves and briefly into Beltie Books. We then headed down to Isle of Whithorn and the recommended Steam Packet Inn for lunch. It looked a little out of season and we weren't completely convinced but it more than lived up to its recommendation with a pair of excellent lunches (as Alan Partridge might say). The journey back home was rather wet, especially the road between Dumfries and the M74, where it got really wild for about ten minutes. After that it calmed down again until we were almost home. It seems to have eased off again now, although it is supposed to be a windy night as Storm Abigail passes further north and we are touched by the southern edge of the stormy conditions.
