Life saver

We've been without a proper kitchen for three weeks now (and are likely to be for some time yet). Microwaves are great but it's easy to get fed up with ready-meals.

I remembered last week that we were once given a fry-pan as a gift but had never used it. I found it in the shed and cleaned it up, and it has been absolutely brilliant. It consists of a deep aluminium and enamel pan with an element underneath which is simply plugged into a wall socket. It's great for stir-fries and steaks and lots of other things, and we've certainly been making good use of it.
