A Bridge, A Beck, A Duck & A Shark
This time of year is a challenge for blip inspiration with the dark mornings and nights and grey days, so I have decided to unashamedly plagiarise an idea of Gilesey of blipping 'treasures' that have a significance in the history of family Kit.
This painting was part of a charity event organised by the boy's primary school in 2008. The children were given a canvas to take home and told to go and produce a painting the represented the Yorkshire Wolds, that were made into Christmas cards and sold for the charity. The standard of work was incredible (some a bit too 'incredible'....parental input??) and there were paintings of tractors and trees, fields and pheasants...but the then 5 year old Sushi in his own unique style did the well titled abstract "A Bridge, A Beck, A Duck and A Shark"...he didn't win any prizes for it (the tractor did) but to me it represents Sushi perfectly as the child who in the words of his teacher.."doesn't see the world as a typical child of his age"
