War Declaration

In our family history archives, we have some copies of The Northern Echo, a newspaper published in Yorkshire, so on this Armistice Day.I publish this bit of history.

This one dated 5th August 1914 has the head line - Germany declares war on Great Britain.

The format of newspapers has certainly changed since those days
