Stock Dove

When I went out this morning I fully expected to blip all sorts of birds, but this, an elusive Blackbird and a Magpie were all that came my way;  if I'd known that was to be the case I'd have tried to get closer in and wait for the bird to strike a more attractive pose.  As it is I'm thankful to have blipped him at all.

I think it must be a young bird as his eyes look blue, and I don't think the white on the front of the wings is as pronounced as this in the adults.  The weather was perfect for an hour or two this morning   -  just lovely and a real pleasure to be out and about.
