Losing my nerve...

Yesterday, I mentioned I was thinking about a dear friend of mine...

Today... I am definitely feeling her physical pain as this is a picture of Links Lodge Dental Practice. I thought I was just going in for a simple filling but NO... No such luck...

I have only ever had 1 filling, which I'm quite proud of as it wasn't even because of decay....

I have a bar through my tongue and each end of it, as you will know... Is a metal ball. In the same type of shape as a "million" sweety...

I have a pick 'n' mix addiction... So millions are USED to be one of my favorite sweeties. Until one day I thought, oh my, this million is really hard... CRUNCH... Goes the metal ball straight through my tooth...

I had to go into the emergancy dentist and get it filled up... Had a horrible metal filling on it...

Today I now had to have first stage root canal treatment on the same toothypeg... :( which was not an enjoyable experiance to say the least... It has been causing me toothache for weeks as I've been putting off going. It's not that I can't stand needles, I really don't mind. I have a huge pain threshold. I just can't stand saliva, teeth, other people looking in my mouth... Or even worse putting things in my mouth... Makes me gag...

Bleh.

So... Now I have a numb face and am trying desperately not to either swallow my tongue bar or bite it as I can't feel my tongue... Just the metal bolt running through it...

Very bizarre...

You don't have to brush your teeth - just the ones you want to keep.
