Reversing the process

The sewer repairs around my place are a 3 stage process. The part outside my place is stage 2. They've replaced the pipe, are filling the trench in, rolling it and starting to remove the 8m steel sheets.

That's what's happening in the photo. The digger driver is slowly lifting a sheet of metal out of the ground. There is noise and vibrations but nothing like when they drive them into the ground.

Stage 3 starts just past my place and continues down to the corner with the park. It's about the same distance as stage 2. They're up against it for time because if they're not done by 30 November, they're charged a steep penalty fee per day.

As stage 3 progresses and it further away from my place, I'll be able to look at bringing Benedict home :-)

Speaking of the little tabby one, he was checked this week and wasn't neutered.

He's been snipped (or whatever they do) today, by the same vet who wrongly said he was neutered. Let's hope she gets the op right (not my usual vet).

Benedict has also been vaccinated against feline aids and leukemia today. He comes neutered, micro-chipped and vaccinated as part of the cost of adopting him, but these are extra vaccinations not included with the standard jabs. He's little and if he's bitten or scratched by an infected cat, he wouldn't recover, so I'll meet the extra cost.

Spectre was great. Classic Bond. See it :-)
