Common Moorhen(Gallinula chloropus)

You may well see a quick glimpse of a Moorhen as they usually scuttle off as quickly as possible, so to see Mum and her juvenile out in my wadi actually sunning themselves is a rare sight. I had to look this juvenile up as I thought they would look abit more like their parents at this age and size, the big give away is those huge Moorhen feet! Not the prettiest or the most exotic, but a different bird and a rarely seen one!
