The Metaphor....

I love raspberries.

They are glorious in all their slightly hairy pinkness----sometimes sweet, sometimes bitter, and in the case of these ones (from the supermarket I like to call Tesbury's) totally and utterly bland.

(Having reread the previous paragraph, I now have a picture of The Ex in my mind....)
