High Street, Seaford

This is a little old street, not the main shopping street. I was out tonight to the Seaford Lecture and Literary Society . The speaker's topic was "Pirates and Brigands". I thought it would be about the local smuggling tradition, but it was about two operettas - "Les Brigands" and "The Pirates of Penzance".  

WS Gilbert wrote the English translation of the first, and then wrote the libretto to the second 10 years later.
