Garden Blossom 17

The day started out quite good, so Tod and I went for a walk. That was great but once we returned at 10.00am the rain started and it looks as if it is in for the day. Looking round for a cheer-up I saw the Phylgellis (Cape Fuscia) looking rather resplendent so took a few pictures.
This shrub is originally from South Africa, but has been naturalised in the UK for some time now.
A lot of our more exotic plants seem to have come from either South Africa or South America and China.
It makes one think that we couldn't have started out with much colour hundreds of years ago.
So here is my Blip for today, The Cape Fuscia called Phylgellis!
