Gorge Walk

We had never visited Cheddar Gorge so, when discussing how we could make use of the morning, we decided we would drive down there and go for a walk.  We talk the "Gorge Walk" along the edge of the the gorge, with lovely views down (or so we were told - with today's low cloud and mist, we couldn't see a thing!).  

The best view of we had of the imposing cliffs was from the road through the gorge as we made our way back to Cheddar Village, by which time it was raining, so we found a friendly pub for lunch.

Finally, a trip to the shop to stock up on some Cheddar cheese ("the only Cheddar cheese made in Cheddar"), then back home.

An enjoyable weekend.
