Slivers of Light
The storm abated a small bit this morning so I headed off down the coast. Even so, the wind was still strong enough to cause a good strong Manfrotto tripod to vibrate. I could have done with a bag of bricks to hang underneath just to steady it especially as I was shooting with an ND8 filter in place and looking for long exposure work.
The extra shows the lens stripping and rebuilding operation from last night. The zoom was jamming a bit too often for comfort. See that silver screw pointing upward on the lens inner barrel over there on the left? That was the problem. It had come loose. A drop of Loctite and all is well again.
