I am frequently heard saying "When you put your camera away for the day, always return it to you default settings, then you won't get caught out!" For me that's Aperture Priority, ISO 100 and f8.

So, what went wrong here? Took the first shot.

Oh, that looks a bit washed out, better take another.

Oh that looks underexposed, better take another.......

After a few of these, and I won't say how many, the penny drops and I I look at ALL the settings.

Getting to the computer I liked what I could do with this one better than my correctly exposed ones.
