Worth it

I have travelled well over 200 miles today in the most atrocious weather but it was all worth it .

Worth it to leave home before dawn to take part in a Glasgow University Centre for Cultural Policy Research seminar on a paper by Bob Last called "Creativity, value and money" that postulated a new and potentially very positive approach for policy makers , worth rushing back to Dunoon via a choppy ferry ride for an afternoon surgery in my office and then worth the long drive in the dark to Lochgilphead this evening to listen to fabulous young pipers and drummers from across Argyll ( more than 160 of them), and celebrate their hard work and talent as well as thank the tutors , schools and other bodies ( including the Scottish Government's Youth Music Initiative ) who support them.
